A renowned chef and culinary artist based in Hong Kong, Hilda Chan is always on the move.
For Chan, cooking is a passion that knows no boundaries. She thrives on experimenting with new ingredients and creating innovative flavour profiles, always pushing the limits of what is possible in the kitchen. “It excites me the most when I get to put unconventional ingredients together to create something delicious or new,” Chan gushes.
When she’s not shooting a show or traveling the world in search of culinary inspiration, Chan can often be found collaborating with other top chefs in kitchens, brainstorming and trialling new dishes. Her latest project is with Krug, as one of their selected chefs for the Krug x Lemon 2023 event. “Finding ways to pair champagne and lemon will be an exciting one,” she says.
But Chan’s work is about more than just excellence in the kitchen. Sustainability plays a major role in everything she does. “A privilege to eat three times a day means I have three opportunities each day to make a food choice for a better planet,” Chan explains. As a vocal advocate for reducing food waste and decreasing the impact of food production on the environment, she consciously chooses to work with sustainable producers and incorporate more plant-based ingredients into her creations.
When it comes to getting around Hong Kong in style, Chan trusts the innovative BMW iX3 to transport her smoothly and in perfect alignment with her values. From its emission-free mobility and its sustainable electric drive unit to its supreme comfort, the iX3 is the ideal choice for all of Chan’s journeys between her various projects.
